I was born a Yankee and lived with a Philly accent until moving to Charlotte, NC. I never became a southern belle, no matter how much I tried, and so it was a relief to finally move out West to Colorado when I was fifteen. I’ve been living in the Mile High City ever since, and you couldn’t ask for a better view.
So, I hike, garden, write high and urban fantasy, teach at a local university, and try to catch up on my ever elusive sleep. Any other curiosities you have about me can be somewhat satiated by visiting my blog, which I update regularly.
Top Ten Things You Should Know About Me
1) I can’t cook. I live off of toast, butter, and ham.
2) I read books starting at the front, then from the back. Then I flip back and forth until I reach the middle.
3) I overdosed on Flintstone Chewable Vitamins when I was five, (this was before childproof caps).
4) Coffee is second only to blood in terms of vital fluids.
5) I stick empty milk cartons back in my fridge so they don’t smell up my garbage.
6) My favorite time to write is somewhere between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m.
7) I’m not a huge Facebook hugger, slapper, kisser, gifter, and whatever else you can throw, send, or spit another person’s way via all gazillion applications.
8) I still haven’t read Catcher in the Rye or To Kill a Mockingbird, and to be honest, chances are slim that it will ever happen.
9) I don’t always deliver exactly what I promise.
10) See what I mean?
I also own a sheltie named Annie. This has nothing to do with any of the above, but it's something you should know about me. Some people are cat people. Others are dog people. I am definitely the latter.
