Elementari Rising
Winter is coming, but it's not hiding behind a 700 foot ice wall. Instead it moves like a predator, taking villages one at a time, leaving the people either dead or half mad. For thousands of years, the Elementari--spirits of the elements--have slept peacefully under the watchful eye of the Terakhein, a guardian tribe that protects them. But the Terakhein have disappeared and now the winter is creeping throughout the land. People flee south in droves to Gaelastad where rumors say the trees never die. There, eighteen-year-old Jonathan is haunted by dreams of a little girl who might be the last of the Terakhein.
He begins a relentless search for her in the northern wild, dodging traitorous politics and the pursuit of the waking Elementari. To the west, Cadarn, the powerful kingdom that was the Terakhein's ally, now has the Nemarons on their border ready to invade. Once Cadarn falls, the smaller countries will follow. It's a deadly race, one that brings out long-forgotten traitors and strange allies, not the least of which is Bryn, a terrible fire spirit and Morgan, the most beautiful--and deadly--of water spirits. But are they strong enough to give Jonathan the time he needs to find the missing girl and stop the tide of destruction threatening to overtake the earth?
